As a candidate of Foundation Systems, it is important to understand that the job requirements including start dates and salaries are governed directly by the end Client – that is – the Fortune 1000 at which you will work. Foundation’s staff has little to zero influence over rate increases and start date changes. In most cases, Foundation works within a set mark-up / rate schedule to which we must adhere. In addition, here are some things you may expect as you work with us during this process:
- Screening for Fit and Interest – Our recruiters will locate your resume from a job board, our database, the web or a targeted mailing campaign sent directly to you and a handful of other candidates that have skills and experience that match the job at hand. Our recruiter will call you should you appear to be a match for a job. At that time we will assess your interest and skills for overall fit.
- In-depth Skills & Experience Interview – After a positive screening conversation, our Recruiter will conduct an in-depth phone interview to ensure your skills and experience matches the job. You will then be submitted internally to a Foundation Account Manager assigned to manage the specific job which you are a fit. It is important you let your Recruiter know if you have any planned vacation; notify him/her if something may appear in a background check (requirement for most Clients); Desired and minimum compensation; if you are working with another vendor on this job/client as that will disqualify you from consideration; and anything else you deem as important. You may be asked to sign an “Agency Consent Form” to show your commitment to us and our commitment to you.
- Reference Checks – The recruiter may call two or more people to check your references can confirm your experience and establish a positive perception of you.
- Presentation – Should our Account Manager deem you be a good match, he/she will submit you to our Client for their consideration for hire.
- Formal Interview with Client – Interview processes vary client to client. You may have one or multiple phone and/or face-to-face meetings. It is important to dress to impress as first impressions are everything. Use this meeting as an opportunity to demonstrate knowledge and enthusiasm about the company and job. Remember, the client is most likely interviewing more than 3 people so competition is fierce. Your Account Manager will prepare you for this important step.
- Accepting the Offer – Based on the compensation information you provided the Recruiter during the Interview phase, you will receive an offer within the acceptable range. Should your compensation needs exceed market thresholds, the client may go with another, more flexible candidate.
- Background Checks – Most Clients require a civil, education, criminal, credit check which may include drug screening. Remember to inform your Account Manager at Foundation if something may appear out of the ordinary in these checks.
